Each sail that bares our logo is created right here on our floor, from layout to final stitch. We source far and wide for the best canvas, from the latest woven Dacron to a simulated Egyptian Cotton, from Tanbark to cream colored, we'll find the right cloth for your sail.

Our latest project is a 1942 C Scow sail for which we've chosen a cream colored Dacron with narrow panels and period patch work to mimic the cotton sail she once flew proud. Pictures to follow.

With each new sail at San Juan Canvas, careful attention to the conditions the boats and crew are to endure lead to consideration on canvas, chafe, hand-work, and overall appearance of the sail. We feel each boat is unique, our sails are not mass produced, but given the individual attention it takes to make a high quality, long lasting sail.
